Daniel Garcia

Welcome to my little internet space

Thanks for visiting! I've been a Tesla Engineer, a two time failed-startup founder, content creator, full stack freelancer. I created this page to share my learnings, technical and non-technical with others in hopes it helps somebody.

Daniel Garcia

Hey, I'm Daniel

An Industrial Engineer from Madrid turned full stack developer and indie hacker. I write here about what I learn along the way: code, business, and everything in between.

My journey

1995-2013
Electric skateboard

I was born in Madrid, Spain. I spent my childhood experimenting with electronics and building things on my own.

I picked up code when I was 14. My teachers would grab me out of class to fix the school's computers.

2013-2019

I studied an engineering degree and two masters degrees in Madrid and a year in Philadelphia, USA; while doing many code and electronic projects on the side.

It was during this time that I decided I wanted to be an entrepreneur.

2020

I started working as a Quality Intern at Correos (the Spanish postal service) and quickly became the go-to person for data analysis and automation.

I was the first person in the department who knew how to code and automate data analysis tasks.

2020-2023
Tesla

I started working as a Quality Engineer at Tesla, I worked in Norway, France, Germany, United Arab Emirates and Spain.

My main job was to analyze service and factory data and fix the top issues the European fleet was having.

2023

I left Tesla in May in a bet to start entrepreneurship.

I spent the next 7 months learning full stack development (Django + React) as well as deployments with Docker.

2024

I co-founded an email productivity startup with a friend I met the past year. It was starting to gain traction when disputes between us started happening. In the end I decided it was best for us to part ways.

I then worked a couple of months for Placeholder, a Canada/US based real estate startup.

2025
Entrepreneur

Decided to start again, solo-founded estavia.ai, a real estate lead automation tool for the Spanish market.

In December, after 3 months of hard marketing, cold calls and networking, I decided to stop putting all my time into it. It's still running and being maintained for a few real estate agencies.

2026-Present

While I do software consulting I keep trying new stuff to see what I enjoy doing.

One of those crazy ideas was starting a YouTube channel about enthusiast cars.

I take a few freelance clients each month.

I mainly build software tools, web apps, automations, AI integrations, websites and data dashboards on Grafana.
